For this performative workshop participants were invited to read the text The Public Voice of Women by Mary Beard prior to the event. During the (public) event we tried to speak about the text in an 'embodied' way. In order to achief this state we performed two actions: 1. We all replaced our personal clothes by bathrobes, in order to evoke a feeling of relaxation as well as attention to our bodily needs, away from the dominant focus on the mind. 2. We crafted. By mending our clothes we focussed our attention to the immediate care taking.
